## Method

TS reference findings: mean ≥5, PHT ≥190, VTI ≥60, area ≤1

Use the measurement units shown below. Some fields apply only to a selected method or condition; follow the interactive tool’s method choices. The interactive tool keeps missing measurements incomplete and provides its method-specific results and reference context.

## Measurements and acquisition

### Mean tricuspid gradient mmHg

Complete traced CW envelope

- Align through the valve or shunt and record a complete envelope.
- Trace the modal velocity envelope using the machine tool.
- Use the machine-calculated mean gradient in mmHg.

### Pressure half-time ms

CW Doppler deceleration slope

- Record a complete inflow or regurgitant CW envelope.
- Trace the deceleration slope using the machine PHT tool.
- Average representative beats and use additional beats in atrial fibrillation.

### Tricuspid inflow VTI cm

Pulsed-wave Doppler

- Place the sample volume at the specified annulus or outflow tract.
- Align the Doppler beam with flow and record a clean envelope.
- Trace the modal velocity envelope and use the reported VTI.

### Valve area cm²

Enter the measured value in the displayed unit

- Confirm the variable matches the selected formula.
- Use the unit displayed beside the field.
- Keep measurements from the same representative hemodynamic state.

- PHT area estimate · EAE/ASE valve stenosis 2009 · JASE p. 19 · doi:10.1016/j.echo.2008.11.029

The historical 190/PHT estimate is displayed independently without grading or replacing entered valve area. Right-heart compliance, relaxation, respiration and TR limit this method; the guideline notes less validation than for mitral PHT.

- Acquisition · TS hemodynamic section · PDF p. 14

CW alignment, respiratory and heart-rate effects, and averaging at least five beats.

- Significant-range findings · TS hemodynamic section and key points · PDF p. 14

Mean gradient at least 5 mmHg, inflow VTI at least 60 cm, PHT at least 190 ms, and valve area at most 1.0 cm².

- Integration & limitations · TS key points and recommendations · PDF p. 14

Multiparametric severity assessment, right-atrial and pulmonary-pressure context, associated valve disease, and reduced reliability of PHT-derived area.
